Life changing gym! I came here as a complete beginner (never stepped into a gym before and never attended any sort of fitness classes) and ~2+ years postpartum. Instructors helped me intensely with form correction which I especially needed in the early days. Zero gymtimidation as it is a judgement-free space, instructors don’t pressure you to complete all stations if you don’t have the stamina to finish. Even my hubby (one of those guys who only runs and does not lift) started to be convinced to come for classes with me. After one year of training 3x weekly with Cavo, I feel much stronger and healthier (and have never gotten injured here). Highly recommend Cavo to anyone looking to seriously build their foundation in strength training.

I highly recommend CAVO gym! It's a fantastic place with a focus on strength training and proper form. The instructors push you hard and ensure your form is perfect. Joining CAVO was a game changer for body transformation. Trainers like JC and Justin really know how to make you get the most out of each session. One of my favorite studios in Singapore and I have been to quite a few. Tried them on ClassPass and have now signed up as a regular member. What I really like about Cavo is the attention to detail by the trainers ensuring that your form is on point. The programming of the class is also really clever, they have 2 types of classes running together, generally an upper and a lower body class. I can hit 2 classes with a visit to the studio. Time saving and super efficient. The studio is neat and well equipped with adequate weight dumbbells, barbells and machines. If you haven't tried Cavo, time to change that!

The class led by Kai was effective and fun. He made the effort to go around the class to check and correct our forms. As someone with Sciatica and stiff back muscles, it is difficult to find exercises that do not trigger my injury but Kai taught me modifications for some of the exercises and a breathing technique to engage my core and support my back better. I didn’t feel any pain in my back the whole time and even after class, but still managed to engage the right muscles in my glutes and hamstrings! Really enjoyed the class!

Great gym with a programme that really focuses on strength training and form! I used to do HIIT regularly but always got injured, now I don't need to worry about hurting myself even when lifting heavy or doing cardio. Classes are small and cosy which allows you to have the feel of personal training. Price point is great as well considering you’re essentially getting personal training but in the form of small group exercise. Went for Cavo’s recent Squid Game themed Halloween workout and I was thoroughly impressed at the thought process behind it. They made the effort to match the exercises to the theme (e.g. tug of war with the wall mounted cable machines) which I think most gyms do not. Workout was really intense which left me with muscle aches the next day but it was so worth it! Looking forward to more themed workouts in the future 😉

I started my fitness journey with CAVO around April 2021, and am always constantly impressed with how their classes are run. A bit about the studio first: 1) CAVO’s location is awesome - it is a stone’s throw away from my Tiong Bahru residence. If you are working out with friends, you can always drop by the hipster cafes afterwards! 2) Given that I am working from home, I have the flexibility of deciding whether I would like to drop in for the morning (7, 8, 9am) or evening classes (5, 6, 7pm). They recently started offering classes at 12pm too, which helps if I want to squeeze in a quick lunchtime workout. 3) The studio has a wide variety of equipment: rowers, ski machines, customizable free weights, slam balls, and multi-functional machines that can perform all kinds of compound exercises. On to the workouts: 4) CAVO’s well-thought workouts really help to burn fat and build muscle overall. I particularly enjoy their Strength-based classes, which are designed in 6-week blocks such that the exercises are made progressively more challenging over the weeks. 5) CAVO also offers Cardio and Core classes on selected days - these serve as a good contrast from the Strength classes. 6) The classes are 45 minutes long, though it can stretch up to 55 minutes depending on the time taken by the trainers to go through the exercises at the start. However, they sure are more productive than my unguided 90-minute trips to the big commercial gyms. 7) Don’t worry if you are new to small group classes. The trainers are patient and encouraging, and would help to correct your form, and push you to give your personal best. 8) There are also instructor-led videos mounted throughout the studio, so you can take guidance on what are the upcoming exercises to execute during the set. 9) Classes at CAVO typically range between 4-8 participants per session, depending on the popularity of the timeslot. You can therefore be sure of receiving adequate attention from the trainers. CAVO recently held a “Squid Game”-themed Halloween event! It was nice to see the vibrant CAVO community take shape, despite the studio being a relatively young one in the vicinity. Shoutout to JC, Priya and Rah for being awesome trainers!

As some others mentioned, it's really like private training in the form of small size group exercise. You pay for the group exercise and get something really like personal training (which is usually much more expensive). I went to quite some different gyms in the past, and I'd say JC in CAVO is the best trainer I've met so far. - Just like the book "Starting Strength" (if you haven't read it, get one), his group exercise classes are designed with clear focus. In any one class, you don't need to go through 10-12 different stations, and get lost in changing equipment. - Varieties of exercise are not added randomly or just for fun. He is very knowledgeable and will explain the reason for the changes (to focus on a different part of the target muscle or to increase the difficulty, etc) - He won't rush you through the sets, but always remind you what is the focus and how to maintain the correct form. - He is able to provide instant feedback to individuals during the group exercise. You will get enough attention even if the group exercise is a full house. If you are doing something wrong, he will tell you the reason and what you can do to prevent it. If one has some injury or difficulty in a certain part, he always has a plan B. Besides all these, the classes offered here have a theme for each day of the week: cardio, strength, explosive power, core, etc. And since no two days in a week are exactly the same, you will get enough rest even if you attend classes daily. I also like the equipment here. New and Awesome. Shower room is available and towels are provided, so one has the convenience to workout just before or after work or other activities.

I love CAVO because there are awesomeness trainers like Priya and Jun Cun. This gym offers what I needed. I made a research personal trainer costs around $85 to $120 per hour. I am someone who is not motivated to do workout. I never regret signing up. The class which I had signed up, feel like having a personal trainer assigned to me. By doing a 3 month, just twice a week, I lose 3 kg. It is not about the weight loss. I feel stronger and fitter. Would recommend you to sign up.

Interesting concept where the small classes are closely guided by the trainer alongside videos showing the specific movements. It does give the trainer more time to correct your movements etc. Weights can be intimidating for females (and even males), but it is so important to maintain strength as we age. I would not have tried weights/strength training if not for the cable machines and guidance from the trainers. I would say that the atmosphere is fun, the people professional, and the gym very welcoming.

I am very impressed with their training program as well as the unique and specialised equipment they have catered for their members here. The trainers are very knowledgeable and also very approachable. I always had trouble with lower body movements because of an old knee injury, but their trainers there were quick to assist me in tweaking my form and adjusting some angles.
